In un video trasmesso da Al Jazira, il leader di Al Qaeda, senz'armi e vesti militari, su circa dieci minuti di messaggio accusa George Bush anche di aver mentito all'America. "Oh giovani dell' Islam, ecco il nostro messaggio per voi.
Se siamo uccisi o catturati, voi dovrete portare avanti la battaglia."

che non doveva pronunciare la parola «peccato» in relazione all'omosessualità.
La lettera è stata letta da Barroso ai capigruppo del'Europarlamento.
