Austria - Vienna -- Il Cardinale Christoph Schoenborn ha annunciato la nomina di una ex governatrice austriaca a "rappresentante indipendente" delle vittime di abusi sessuali nella Chiesa. Verrà poi istituita una equipe di esperti tra cui non figura alcun ecclesiastico, proprio per garantire l'indipendenza delle indagini. Il Cardinale, che già ha sollevato la questione del celibato dei sacerdoti, ha affermato che "il tentativo di coprire gli abusi è incompatibile con gli insegnamenti del Vangelo".

Austria - Vienna -- The Cardinal Christoph Schoenborn announced the appointment of an ex austrian woman governor as "independent representative" of the victims of sexual abuse in the Church. There will be set up a team of experts which does not include any ecclesiastic, in order to guarantee the independence of the investigations. The Cardinal, which already has raised the issue of celibacy of priests, said that "the attempt to cover the abuses is incompatible with the teachings of the Gospel".
