2. Non dimenticare che il diavolo è tentatore. Ha tentato Adamo, Israele, lo stesso Gesù. Tenta, ossia mette alla prova e sollecita al male, ogni uomo. La tentazione è, dunque, per tutti e per ciascuno di noi. Non ritenerti né esente né invulnerabile.

2. Do not forget that the devil is the tempter. He tempted Adam, Israel, and Jesus Himself. He tempts, that is, he puts to the test and presses for evil in every man. Temptation, therefore, is for everybody and for each one of us. Do not believe yourself to be neither immune nor unassailable.
