Dimissioni Papa - Resignation Pope

Sdegnate reazioni del Comune di Assisi e della Regione Umbria al declassamento dell'aeroporto internazionale "San Francesco d'Assisi", avviato dal Ministro dello Sviluppo Economico Corrado Passera. La decisione finale è però demandata al nuovo Governo. Va segnalato che in occasione del convegno sul futuro dell'economia indetto al Sacro Convento di San Francesco, "tra le auto blu dei relatori......si infila un predicatore apocalittico, scalzo e strizzato in un sacco di iuta. Tuona contro la corruzzione dei costumi e vaticina l'imminente fine del mondo. Momenti di imbarazzo, finchè accetta di spostarsi di qualche metro e l'insoluto forum finanziario può alzare il sipario", come riportato su Vatican Insider dall'inviato speciale Giacomo Galeazzi che terminava il suo articolo notando che, mentre è in corso il convegno "fuori il predicatore scalzo conta i giorni che mancano all'apocalisse". Certo l'apparente clima d'intesa e collaborazione tra il Ministro e i Francescani è stato decisamente smentito dal declassamento dell'aeroporto "San Francesco d'Assisi", nonostante l'importanza stessa del suo nome; e quanto alla presenza di quel "predicatore apocalittico" - Massimo Coppo - eventi epocali e inauditi come la recentissima dimissione di Papa Benedetto XVI, dovrebbero almeno farci riflettere...

Il Francesco odierno, che puoi incontrare la sera sotto il porticato della Basilica di Assisi, elevata per ospitare i pellegrini e i penitenti,
i polpacci e i piedi viola dal freddo perché scalzo - Francesco, dice, andava scalzo, solo dopo la ricezione delle Sacre Stimmate,
Santa Chiara lo obbligò a infilare delle pianelle -, e vestito di un sacco di iuta con cappuccio...
Parlando, mi domanda chi io sia, rispondo che sono un cronista, allora il fraticello laico coperto di stracci e di barba lanosa
e dalle gambe livide, mi confida che anche suo padre era un giornalista e scrittore. Ne domando il nome: “Alberto Coppo”.
Esclamo di averlo conosciuto bene, ma guarda il caso! No, è la Provvidenza, sussurra, la luce negli occhi azzurri che sfidano il gelo e il buio.
Alberto Coppo! Il suo “Fuori verde” vinse nel 1957 il Prix Européen di Ginevra per romanzi inediti.
Il poverello del gennaio 2013, suo figlio, si chiama Massimo, ha una sessantina di anni,
ha diplomi di master frequentati negli Stati Uniti, ha una laurea in agraria da 110 e lode a Perugia.
Ora Massimo (Coppo) se ne va scalzo per le strade dell’Umbria - ne son certo più felice di Depardieu e di Putin -,
con la sacca e il bastone, in perfetta letizia, sulle tracce di chi sposò Madonna Povertà.

St. Francis is alive!

Today’s Francis, which you can meet in the evening under the portico of the Basilica of Assisi, elevated to accommodate
the pilgrims and penitents, calves and feet purple from the cold because barefoot
- Francis he says, went barefoot, only after receiving the Sacred Stigmata, Santa Chiara forced him to put on sandals -
and dressed in a jute sack with a hood...
While talking he asks me who I am, I say I'm a reporter, then the lay brother covered with rags and a woolly beard and lived legs,
confides to me that his father too was a journalist and a writer. I ask about the name: "Alberto Coppo".
I exclaim that I knew him well, but look what a case! No, it's Providence, he whispers, the light in the blue eyes that defy the frost and the dark.
Alberto Coppo! His "Fuori Verde" in 1957 won the Prix Européen of Geneva for unpublished novels.
The little poor of January 2013, his son, his name is Massimo, is about sixty years old, he has a degree of master
frequented in the United States, he has a degree in agricultural sciences with first class honours in Perugia.
Now Massimo (Coppo) goes barefoot in the streets of Umbria - I am sure happier than Depardieu and Putin -,
with a sack and a cane in perfect joy in the footsteps of who married Lady Poverty.

Anche noi crediamo che in questo penitente che si può incontrare ogni giorno per le piazze e le strade di Assisi,
riviva lo Spirito di San Francesco, il vero "Spirito di Assisi": Spirito di pace, di preghiera, di passione per Cristo e la Sua Chiesa, di amore per i poveri.

Il Giornale “Il Fatto Quotidiano” ha pubblicato una lettera del grande scrittore Guido Ceronetti dove da alcuni consigli per le votazioni. Noi citiamo questo fatto non per consigliare come votare, ma esclusivamente perché 15 anni fa Guido Ceronetti venne a visitare la nostra associazione Iaca e soprattutto la Comunità Famiglie di Betlemme per intervistare il fondatore Marcello Ciai, perchè aveva sentito parlare delle sue profezie (che si stavano e si stanno drammaticamente avverando, come quella allora del terremoto di Assisi e quella sul crollo dell'economia). The newspaper "Il Fatto Quotidiano" published a letter from the great writer Guido Ceronetti where he gives some advices for the elections. We quote this fact not to recommend how to vote but only because 15 years ago Guido Ceronetti came to visit our association Iaca and first of all the Community Families of Bethlehem to interview the founder Marcello Ciai, because he had heard of his prophecies (which were and are coming drammatically true, as the one at that time of the earthquake of Assisi and the one of the collapse of economy). We publish here also the link of the newspaper "La Stampa" Society and Culture with a passage of the article that arose from the interview.

Nel suo ultimo “Angelus” a Piazza San Pietro, Papa Ratzinger, commentando il brano evangelico della Trasfigurazione, assicura i tanti fedeli convenuti che lasciando il soglio petrino non abbandona la Chiesa, anzi la serve ancor meglio salendo sul monte della preghiera. Queste sue parole “consegnano” ai fedeli l’assoluta priorità della preghiera nella vita; come le sue dimissioni, dato che un padre terreno non si dimette, tanto meno un “santo padre”, fanno risuonare in tutta la loro rivoluzionaria portata le parole di Gesù nel Vangelo: “non chiamate nessuno ‘padre’ sulla terra, perché uno solo è il Padre vostro, quello del cielo”.

Disunity in the Church is one of many challenges faced by an institution plagued by a series of sexual abuse scandals and allegations of corruption. “The people are scared and panicked like sheep in the night when they think there is a wolf among them,” Coppo preached to the gathered crowd, who filmed him on mobile phones.

La Reuters agenzia di stampa tra le più note e vaste al mondo ha diffuso questa notizia:

Papa Benedetto XVI nel Mercoledì delle Ceneri, inizio della Quaresima, dice nell’omelia fra l’altro:

"Gesù sottolinea come sia la qualità e la verità del rapporto con Dio ciò che qualifica l'autenticità di ogni gesto religioso. Per questo Egli denuncia l'ipocrisia religiosa, il comportamento che vuole apparire, gli atteggiamenti che cercano l'applauso e l'approvazione". Così il Papa nell'omelia del Mercoledì delle Ceneri a San Pietro. "Il vero discepolo - ha detto Benedetto XVI - non serve se stesso o il "pubblico", ma il suo Signore, nella semplicità e nella generosità: "E il Padre tuo - ha proseguito, citando il Vangelo di Matteo - che vede nel segreto, ti ricompenserà."

"Jesus emphasizes how it is the quality and the truth of our relationship with God that qualify the authenticity of every religious gesture. For this He denounces the religious hypocrisy, the behavior that wants to appear, the attitudes that seek the applause and the approval". Thus the Pope in his homily on Ash Wednesday in Saint Peter. "The true disciple - Pope Benedict XVI said - doesn’t serve himself or the "public", but his Lord, in simplicity and generosity: "And your Father - he said, citing the Gospel of Matthew - who sees in secret will reward you."

Tra i nomi dei Cardinali "papabili", possibili successori di Papa Benedetto XVI, non figura il nome del Cardinale Ennio Antonelli; eppure un blog che abbiamo trovato in internet adduce molte motivazioni per cui potrebbe essere proprio lui il prossimo Papa. Abbiamo voluto segnalare l'intervento di questo blog, perché nonostante il Cardinale Antonelli abbia raggiunto il limite d'età di 75 anni, auspicheremmo davvero la sua ascesa al soglio pontificio, avendo apprezzato già da quando era Arcivescovo di Perugia la profonda umanità e la grande levatura spirituale di questo Cardinale umbro.

We wanted to point out the intervention of this blog, because notwithstanding the Cardinal Antonelli has reached the age limit of 75 years, we would really greet his raising to the papal throne, having already appreciated, since when he was Archbishop of Perugia, the deep humanity and high spiritual stature of this Umbrian Cardinal.

Dopo gli Stati Uniti con Obama, anche il Governo Inglese del conservatore Cameron legalizza i matrimoni gay, come segno di civiltà e progresso. "L'uomo lascerà suo padre e sua madre, e si unirà a sua moglie e i due saranno una sola carne": questo passo del libro della Genesi - ripreso da Gesù nel Vangelo - mostra il benefico piano di Dio per la vera crescita e il progresso dell'umanità. Ugualmente esplicita, nella Parola di Dio è la condanna dell'omosessualità. Ma i non credenti che invocano i matrimoni gay come conquista civile, dovrebbero almeno considerare il regresso sociale conseguente al crollo delle nascite. E a ben pensarci un parlamento inglese che legalizza i matrimoni gay, dovrebbe ancor prima sancire la fine della propria monarchia: da dove potrebbero venire i futuri monarchi, se non da una reale e regale coppia di regnanti?

After the United States with Obama, the British Government of the conservator Cameron legalizes the gay marriages, as a sign of civilization and progress. "A man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife and they shall become one flesh"; this passage from the Book of Genesis - taken by Jesus in the Gospel - shows the beneficial plan of God for the true growth and the progress of humanity. Equally explicit in the Word of God is the condemnation of homosexuality. But the non-believers who invoke gay marriages as a civil achievement, should at least consider the social decline that follows the collapse of the birthrate. And thinking it over an English Parliament that legalizes gay marriages, should ratify still before the end of its monarchy: where should the future monarchs come from, if not from a real and regal couple of sovereigns?

In tutto il mondo si celebra la memoria dell'olocausto degli Ebrei, nella ricorrenza del giorno - 27 Gennaio 1945 -
in cui le truppe dell'Armata Rossa liberarono il campo di concentramento di Auschwitz.
Piangendo alla vista di Gerusalemme e in vista della tremenda distruzione che avrebbe subito, Gesù predisse:

Una storia di dolore e persecuzioni durata 20 secoli, quella degli Ebrei. Ma ormai "i tempi dei pagani" cioè di noi non ebrei "sono alla fine",
e come è scritto "tutto Israele sarà salvato" perchè riconoscerà in Cristo il Messia, figlio di Dio, giudice e salvatore del mondo.

All over the world the memory of the Holocaust of the Jews is celebrated, on the anniversary of the day - 27 January 1945 -
when the troops of the Red Army liberated the concentration camp at Auschwitz.

Crying at the sight of Jerusalem, and in view of the tremendous destruction that it would have suffered, Jesus foretold:
"They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles
until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled." (Luke 21:24)
A story of pain and persecution lasted 20 centuries, that one of the Hebrews. But by now "the times of the Gentiles", that is of us who aren't Jews, "are at the end,"
and as it is written "all Israel will be saved" because they will recognize in Christ the Messiah, son of God, judge and savior of the world.

Mario Monti nella campagna elettorale Italiana si schiera contro Berlusconi paragonandolo al Pifferaio magico di Hamelin in Germania.
Noi siamo e vogliamo rimanere apolitici, ma questo paragone di Monti ci sembra proprio un magnifico “spot” per Berlusconi perché il Pifferaio magico su richiesta di un paese infestato da topi li liberò dai topi affogandoli nel fiume. Magari ci fosse un Pifferaio magico che ci liberasse da tutti i topi (umani) che infestano il nostro paese!

We are and want to remain apolitical, but this comparison of Monti seems to us just a magnificent "spot" for Berlusconi because the Pied Piper at the request of a country infested with mice freed them from the mice drowning them in the river. If only there were a Pied Piper to liberate us of all the (human) mice that infest our country!

Nel discorso annuale al Corpo Diplomatico, il Papa ha detto che oltre allo spread finanziario, va combattuto lo spread sociale che esiste tra i pochi sempre più ricchi e i tanti irrimediabilmente più poveri. Ma, aggiungiamo noi, ancor più importante è colmare lo spread di fede tra chi non crede e chi, pur nelle crescenti difficoltà causate dal crollo dell'economia, sa guardare e ricorrere a Dio, il Padre che nutre gli uccelli del cielo e riveste i gigli del campo: sapendo che " non di solo pane vivrà l'uomo, ma di ogni parola che esce dalla bocca di Dio".
